I am a multidisciplinary visual artist passionate about design, community care, and environmental stewardship. I recently graduated with a B.S. in Interactive Media Arts from NYU’s Shanghai campus. I’ve worked across film, translation, computational design, movement practices and installation, and my current fixation is risograph printing.

modular structure

Collaborator: Evan Bird

Project brief: design and prototype a 2D module with 1.5mm plywood that can create a self standing structure.

We started with prototyping by cutting, folding, and gluing paper. After experimenting with several designs, we decided to explore a star-like structure. We were intrigued by the asymmetry of a 7-point star, however, prototyping proved that it would be challenging to work with. We considered an 8-point star as well, though there would be too many points to screw. So we decided to design a 6-legged module.
